Ray Langton is a virtuoso player of the melodeon along with being an extremely fine singer. He is a well known and highly regarded performer on the folk scene playing both traditional and self penned tunes. His CD 'For Curiosity' features backings from many other talented performers who readily agreed to work with Ray. Ray has shared stages with many other well known 'squeezebox' players and is the master mind behind Squeezing Shropshire. Along with concert performances, Ray also entertains families and children with his costumed act as Professor Squeezyjig and runs mini melodeon workshops for those aged 8-108! A measure of the esteem that other musians have for Ray was Brian Bell's response when approached to perform on Ray's CD. Brian's response was simply: "I'd be honoured to".
